Coffee Shop No. 438 Daisy's Coffee & Tea Morro Bay, CA October 14, 2024 Daisy's Coffee & Tea Shop was not on my coffee radar when I went to Morro Bay. I planned to walk on Morro Bay Rock Beach, eat clam chowder and cinnamon rolls. While I was nibbling on a cinnamon roll one of my nieces ran over and said, "Tia, we found a coffee shop!" They know me well. Naturally, I went over to check the place out. There are so many great things to say about Daisy's Coffee & Tea Shop. First, it's a veteran owned business. The gentleman who made my delicious cortado was very friendly and kind to everyone who walked in and out. It's a small and cozy place, but there is ample seating inside and outside of the shop. Their logo is colorful and catchy; probably one of the best I've seen. My favorite part was the setting and the view. If I had been alone that day I could have sat outside of at the table for hours gazing at the Morro Bay Rock, people watching and sipping on cortados. Enjoying life one cortado at a time!
Amazing oat latte and drip coffee. The server with the tattoo sleeves was lovely and welcoming, he made my day! I wish I got his name!
Definitely a cute little spot right on the Morro Bay Harbor Walk. My friend and I did a road trip down PCH up to Northern California and this was the first stop we went before my long drive. They have a great variety of coffees, tea, and pastries. Definitely would recommend!
Daisy's Organic Coffee & Tea. An absolute gem on the Coastal Access Morro Bay Harborwalk path. My husband and I are visiting from Spain (though we are from Ventura - we retired to Spain) and love to find these little cafes that are so welcoming! When you are here, you have a direct view of the rock. And the seals lounging in the sun will talk to you. It's such a chill place to watch the world go by! Very inviting setting. Such a cute space. The interior is clean and uncluttered. The decorative touches seem to bring the ocean and beach inside. The indoor seating has comfortable chairs and the exterior has a few tables with umbrellas and chairs which face The Rock. Now let's go in and order. We've been here two days in a row. Prices are extremely fair. Yesterday my husband and I both enjoyed Ceremonial organic Matcha Tea lattes made with oat milk. His hot, mine iced. Both extremely good. This is REAL matcha tea. No additives or crappy sweeteners. Today we enjoyed different drinks. My husband is a chai tea latte snob. But...he approved! The chai concentrate here is organic and made with the spices as a chai should be. Again he had his made with oat milk and it passed his snobby taste test! I had an iced coffee with a splash of oat milk. Very flavorful and free refills are included. We bring our own Yeti insulated mugs so all of these drinks were 16 oz sizes. Daisy's also has a small area of retail gifts. Fun to see what you can take home as a souvenir. Now for the best part. Nope not the drinks I've raved about already but it is the staff!! Oh my. We were greeted on each visit by the most exceptional customer service skilled young woman Kayla. What a kind person. And her smile. WOW. She explained the options for the drinks ordered and helped with our order. All the while visiting like we were longtime customers. She was engaged and seem to care about us! To top it off, on our first day, the barista was also the owner Tony. What an incredible man. He came outside to deliver our drinks and met us. Then when he had a break and time to chat, Tony actually came outside as if we were his long lost friends and visited with us. What a wonderful gesture. So much fun to learn about the owner behind this great little coffee shop! Now today, he came out once again. We had fun chatting some more. The only negative...we have to leave town tomorrow! So at least on this visit through Morro Bay, we only get three mornings with Tony and Kayla at the best little coffee shop around. But at least we get to make it a wonderful day - in Morro Bay - by starting our mornings with a trip to Daisy's!!
Great coffee shop with a nice little seating area. Good steady stream of customers for a Saturday. It's a little tucked away from the main street, but worth walking towards the water/pier for it. Just follow the signs. Nice vibe with a tasty mocha!
Another visit, another great experience. Just wanted to update our joy with y'all. Pros: great customer service, good wait time, drinks tasted great. Cons: Cashier forgot our cup of water. Wished hot coffee in mugs can be in a larger size than a medium. Otherwise, it was great to just sit outdoors on their patio chairs, say hi to all the passing dogs, enjoy the morning ocean mist, and drink to seals grunting!
We wanted to grab some coffee and stumbled upon this gem. The menu has a good amount of options, I ended up getting the Horchata latte with oat milk and it was delicious! The owners were so kind and helpful when trying to figure out what to order. They have a few couches inside that are perfect for relaxing with your friends. The shop itself has a welcoming and beach vibe, definitely a nice find!
Very cute shop in the back of a plaza. They have tables of merchandise to sell from cards to earrings. The owner was super friendly and quick at making the drinks. The menu is simple, nothing too fancy or over complicated. I ordered that honey cinnamon latte with almond milk and it was everything I needed in the morning. The cinnamon flavor came through perfectly without being overpowering. The musician outside the door made the ambiance even better. Definitely will support this local business when I'm in the area again. It's a great start to our morning stroll around the bay.
What a great stop for a cup of coffee. Delicious mochas. Perfect chocolate flavor. Stopped here twice, got the same thing both times. Good selection of hot teas as well - can never go wrong with them! Came here early in the morning when there were still very few people in the Embarcadero. Absolutely wonderful little coffee shop - super cute, super friendly barista. Love that it's right on the water. Got our coffee, sat outside, and just looked out over the water. We were the only people out there - super peaceful and a great way to start the morning.
HUGE shoutout to the owners for this exclusive experience! Husband says this is the best chai tea he's ever had!! I LOVED the matcha!! We wanted to commend the tasting and the experience, which was spectacular!! The location... the hospitality... The owners just opened this hotspot, and I highly suggest supporting!! The gentleman is a realtor while his wife, the other owner, is a nurse. I honestly thought this was their first job, seeing as to how the coffee was so excellent and everything was so professional!! Please support this small business, it's absolutely worth it!! We will definitely come back and continue to support the owners, and this amazing little hotspot in Morro Bay!!! Thank you for being so kind to us today and also for the chocolate, and the delicious coffee tasting!! SOOOO good!!
